Hi, Would you like my business card?

Pros Clean Edges
Cons Cheaper to order them, but you have to wait for them to arrive.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I recommend these for anyone, but highly recommend them for someone just starting a business needing to save a little money..
My husband is a mechanic, and does side jobs. He thought it would be nice to have his own business cards, but we had a feeling that they would be very expensive.
I looked around on the Internet just briefly and found that they run about $30.00 per 500 cards. Which in all reality is good, but you have to wait for them to arrive, and if something is wrong with them you have to send them back. It just seemed much more easy for us to do them ourselves.
We were told about the business card paper that you could buy and make your own. We knew this would be perfect for us.

I couldn't believe how easy it was. You need a software program that has business card templates. I couldn't find any other way around not using a template. We used Microsoft Publisher, and Photo Expert. Both of these programs lets you make a variety of business cards.
Some other programs that can be used are Microsoft Word, Microsoft Home Publishing, Corel Word Perfect, CorelDRAW, Sierra Print Artist or any Broderbund Print Shop or Print Master.

The cards are the standard business card size. (2x3 1/2). We ended up with cards that had his name, number, address, occupation, e-mail address, and a picture of a car. They have a nice coating on them, but not too much to make them look shiny. They come in ivory, white, or pink. We got white for the first time because we knew any color would look good on white. But since then have got Ivory also. Pink business cards for my husband just didn't go over well for him so we stayed away from the pink ones.

They came in a packet of 120. 10 cards per sheet. And was $14.99. This does seem high for paper or at least I thought but it is easy. You get the cards just the way you want them, and it takes very little time. He bought them at a drug store so I am sure they would be available just about anywhere.
With the software that we used it printed exactly 10 cards so there was no waste. For any program you use I would make sure you double check on how many it prints just in case.

Once you get your information entered in your software, all you have to do is print. Once they are done printing, just peel them off. There is no perforations, so there is no tearing.
I printed them using a color Lexmark Z23 and there was no smearing at all. They went from the printer immediately in to business card holders. I can't guarantee no smearing, but there was none with the type of printer that I used.

I highly recommend using this paper to make business cards for anyone. The hardest part of using these is entering your information.

The good thing is when you run out of cards just run home and print some more. No more waiting for big companies to make them for you!
