Nice enough unit but the control system disappoints

40 pint, No Auto Restart, Cycles on and Off
This unit does remove the water from the air, at least in my 900 SQ FT home. However, like all units in this price range, it's noisy. AVOID IT!
I purchased this product because it was energy star rated, because of the Fresh zone filter and the brand. If you like misery, abuse and feeling like a fool; buy a DeLonghi. My units contols failed giving me a preprogramed Error Code 1&2 which requires you to call DeLonghi per the owners manual. Great Dehumidifier!
I always loved this machines, the only cons I always noticed, and that's why I stopped buying them, was that I always needed to work on the machine and empty the tank. This great DeLonghi invention automatic pump function changed everything!

Worked for just two years
I had high hopes for DeLonghi DDE400 Dehumidifier. Two years it worked fine in my cool basement. Third year it started freezing up - formed ice and kept building ice.
