Dictaphone 2750

The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this machine due to its durability and ease of handling. It works well, never need repair, and can sustain 3' falls to a concrete floor.
I've been using the Dictaphone 2750 in my work as a state parole officer for the past 12 years. The machine has been reliable and easy to use. The speaker in the handset, which can be used optionally with the flip of a switch, is particularly useful when you want to playback what you've just dictated, but don't want others to hear.
Other features, such as playback speed, and having stop, play, and rewind buttons, all in the handheld microphone, make it easy to go from start to finish without ever having to touch the main body of the machine (except at start when inserting the cassette).
I've also, on more that one occasion, pulled too far on the microphone handle while reaching for a ringing telephone, causing the machine to fall 3 feet and crash into the concrete floor. The machine has never sustained more than a slight scratch to its body, and worked perfectly after the fall. In the past, falls of this nature have spelled doom to other electronic products I've used causing small parts to "shatter and scatter."
This is the only model I recall seeing in our offices, and since my job requires that I sometimes travel to outlying offices, I've had to use several of these dictaphones at several different locations, and have never had a malfunction with any of them.
