In my experience, Adobe PhotoShop CS has been a pleasure to use. I use it for photo-manipulations and editing photography, and have also used it to create covers and page designs for literary magazines and books of poetry.
It was a very easy upgrade from Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and the interface was simple to learn. The new features (with the color replacement tool being my personal favorite) gave the new software a variety of tools not previously seen in earlier versions of the software. With so many new ways to edit your photos, it's not hard to see why CS would be the best product in its class on the market.
I recently had my computer fixed, and before the complete overhaul of my hard drive, CS ran very slow on my computer. The program took a good five minutes to start up, and then it blanked out quite often. It works fine now that my PC has been upgraded, but if you have an older, slower, or virus-filled computer, I recommend an earlier version of PhotoShop.
All in all, bad computers aside, Adobe PhotoShop CS 8.0 is a remarkable piece of photo-editing software. It's top-of-the-line, and completely worth every penny you'll pay if you're looking for a program to edit, change, manipulate, and add text to your graphics. I highly recommend it.
