Not worth it!
Bought this a month ago to shred our bills. Seems like we are the target for this kind of unit. An average house (parents, 2 kids) generating about 5-10 sheets a day.
On the plus side, it shredded quite nicely.

Terrible shredder, avoid.
I just don’t understand how you could screw up a shredder, but Royal found a way. Out of the box, this product couldn’t handle more than 3 sheets at a time. One month after ownership, it strains just to shred one sheet of paper. It overheats after 3 minutes of use from... Read full review »
Sent it back under warranty and the new one is already on it's last leg
I bought this shredder from Kohl's using a gift card that I received for christmas in 2007. After a couple of weeks it started sounding rough, after a couple of months it was horrible and wouldn't even shred a single piece of paper.
