Our good friends in Burgundy are always excited when they can get elusive aroma and flavor of toasted hazelnuts in their Chardonnays. In this example of Nuthouse Chardonnay we have captured just that. Those hazelnuts are complimented by a toasted marshmallow, ripe cantaloupe, and Bosc pear on nose. 2010 was a vintage of patience and emotion: a rather favorable, dry spring was followed by a mitigating summer. key to our success was a generous and conveniently timed ripening period in September. Harvest took place successfully in second half of month. We picked very healthy, well-balanced, richly flavored grapes, showing liveliness and remarkable wine aromas.
