More than half of fruit for this wine was selected from Don Oliver's oldest block of 65-year old vines. For complexity, some plantings from Tahbilk clone were blended in. Tahbilk clone is one of oldest know Shiraz clones in Australia. It expresses Rhone-like aromatics with lifted violet and mineral tones. Olivers sourced this clone from Victoria and were one of first to plant it in McLaren Vale.
