Turns golden with aging. aroma is fresh and flowery with aromas of elder, lemon and cherry. palate is dry, well balanced and elegant, with tremendous length and finesse. It makes an excellent aperitif and partners a wide range of dishes, especially vegetable quiches, delicately- flavored fish, shellfish and cheese souffles. Wine Enthusiast rating: 91.

Pieropan Soave Classico La Rocca is a brilliant straw yellow color with greenish hints. delicate nose is reminiscent of almond blossoms and marzipan. wine has good depth of fruit on palate, nicely balanced by a zingy acidity that enhances its long length. It makes an excellent partner for soups, starters, especially vegetable based such as asparagus, peas, courgette, egg-based dishes or seafood and fresh water fish dishes. This wine is from Italy, Abruzzo region, Montepulciano D'abruzzo sub-region. Binomio is the brainchild of Stefano Inama from Azienda Agricola Inama and Sabatino Di Properzio from Fattoria la Valentina. The idea was simple and born from their conviction that Montepulciano is a grape of extraordinary potential. High yields and poor vinification had robbed it of character in much the same way that Garganega had been squandered in Soave.
