2008 Rudd Bacigalupi Chardonnay Napa

Wine Spectator rating: 94. 2007 vintage of this wine was ranked #5 on Wine Spectator's Top 10 Wines of 2010 Ripe and concentrated with intense Wooden Valley fruit that you've come to love. 2008 release is very similar style-wise to 2007 vintage, but richer in texture, and in winemaker Frank Frank Altamura's opinion, their best effort to date.

family vineyards are my father's legacy and I get so much joy from crafting wines from our Home RanChateau I love opulence of this wine, and sun-kissed flavors of Sonoma County that it evokes. 2009 Chardonnay has aromas of stone fruit, honeysuckle and a hint of chestnut. Flavors of ripe tropical fruit are accented by notes of toasted marshmallow and a bright acidity that lingers into finish. The Wine Advocate rating: 91.

2008 Cabernet Sauvignon 1886 faithfully expresses quality and character of our North Saint Helena terroir. This is a rich, powerful, dense Cabernet Sauvignon with all elegance and soft, silky tanin that has always defined our Estate. Notes of black plums, black cherries, violets, cinnamon and toffee, layered with ripe red fruit and chocolate cherries. Complex, exciting, and elegant. Petit Verdot contributes a wisp of blueberry and nutmeg, Cabernet Franc firms up structure in front palate, and small addition of Merlot warms up velvety middle. Wine Spectator rating: 92.

Wine Enthusiast rating: 94. For 2008 vintage, very ripe fruit was picked in selective areas throughout Estate to express a brighter ripe Cabernet style for CASK. Dark, ripe cherry is predominant characteristic, along with vanilla and hints of floral and spice notes. mouthfeel is very rich and round with some sweet creaminess on palate and a fresh fruit finish. Try one of these wonderful pairings of grilled lamb chops, beef tenderloin, braised lamb shanks, a hearty stew, or a beef burger with all fixings.

Blend of white varietals cru Ribolla Gialla, Tocai, Malvasia, and Picolit. Beautiful golden yellow in color, brilliant and luminous. nose is intense and complex, with notes of ripe fruit– Mediterranean and tropical–and dried flowers, barely touched by a subtle veil of vanilla. Apples, bananas, hazelnuts, genista and passionflower stand out. On palate, it's pure velvet, showing perfect balance of flavors, delicate aromatic qualities, endless persistence.
