The new DiMAGE Z3 features a 12x optical Mega Zoom lens, which can be combined with the camera's 4x digital zoom for up to 48x total zoom capability. The DiMAGE Z3's newly developed GT APO lens offers strikingly clear, high-contrast, high-resolution images thanks to Konica Minolta's G lens optical technology. The AD (anomalous dispersion) glass and two aspheric lens elements help the DiMAGE Z3 correct spherical aberration and curvilinear distortion, factors that can cause problems at high zoom ranges. The advanced, high-sensitivity 4-megapixel CCD combines with Konica Minolta's proprietary CxProcess(TM) II technology to give photographers images as beautiful as those they see with their own eyes. Well, it's got nothing on a good film camera...

byHawgWyld Mar 18, 2007
27 Helpfuls 28 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Durable; great macro photography; easy on batteries
Cons Hard to use in low lighting situations even with external flash; lower resolution
Recommended it? Yes

Unless you're going to spend about $3,000 for a digital camera, just get ready to put up with something that's just almost as good as a quality film camera. That's just how it is, sadly, and the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 digital camera produces pictures that are fairly common of competing cameras... Read full review »

Minolta's DiMAGE Z20: A poor man's "prosumer, swiss army knife" digital camera...

byjeadm Jun 30, 2005
14 Helpfuls 15 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Versatility, ergonomics, long zoom and battery life, fast startup and operation,...
Cons No low light focus assist, no microphone, vulnerable card slot.
Recommended it? Yes

The Minolta DiMAGE Z20 is the model that appears to be replacing the DiMAGE Z10, a camera I also have owned. This is a real good camera for somebody who wants to have it all (almost) but just can't afford one that does. And believe me, there isn't one that truly has it all. I know, I'm always... Pros Reasonably priced, high quality pictures with true-to-life color
Cons None

This is my third digital camera. I was shopping for one with high megapixels and decent optical zoom, most seriously considering the Kodak 10x optical zoom EasyShare. I found this model at Costco. For nearly $100 cheaper than the Kodak, it came with almost twice the memory (internal+included card)... Read full review »
