The new DiMAGE Z3 features a 12x optical Mega Zoom lens, which can be combined with the camera's 4x digital zoom for up to 48x total zoom capability. The DiMAGE Z3's newly developed GT APO lens offers strikingly clear, high-contrast, high-resolution images thanks to Konica Minolta's G lens optical technology. The AD (anomalous dispersion) glass and two aspheric lens elements help the DiMAGE Z3 correct spherical aberration and curvilinear distortion, factors that can cause problems at high zoom ranges. The advanced, high-sensitivity 4-megapixel CCD combines with Konica Minolta's proprietary CxProcess(TM) II technology to give photographers images as beautiful as those they see with their own eyes. I got what I paid for

byluvmy357mag Dec 15, 2004
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small size; uses AA batteries, uses SD card, easy menu system, one-touch playback button.
Cons Slow autofocus; poor low-light performance, long shutter lag, inconvenient lens placement.
Recommended it? No

I bought this camera because it was cheap, it used AA batteries, and it used an SD memory card. Too bad it didn't live up to my expectations.
I take photos only on vacation or for family occasions, so I didn't need a fancy camera with a all the bells and whistles. I only expected the camera to... Read full review »

If you need a very small camera that still takes good pics this is it. I recomended this to my sister... Read full review »

Well, it's got nothing on a good film camera...

byHawgWyld Mar 18, 2007
27 Helpfuls 28 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Durable; great macro photography; easy on batteries
Cons Hard to use in low lighting situations even with external flash; lower resolution
Recommended it? Yes

Unless you're going to spend about $3,000 for a digital camera, just get ready to put up with something that's just almost as good as a quality film camera. That's just how it is, sadly, and the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 digital camera produces pictures that are fairly common of competing cameras... Read full review »
