I have a finished basement with a Home Theater area. The Whirlpool, according to reviews, is a very reliable unit. It does the job required. I plugged it on, flipped the switch, and it didn't work. Something inside was messed up, a part was loose and looked poorly constructed. I messed around with it and got it to work for literally one second, not exaggerating. Then it turned off again. I tried for 20 more minutes and it wouldn't turn... Read full review »

Pros small in size and still removes lots of water
Cons Have to remove water from the cup every now and then
Recommended it? Yes

I got the little dehumidifier in a couple of days and it works just fine. I got it to use in my RV bathroom/bedroom. I will probably order another one to go in the RV kitchen. It works just like it should. I collect about a cup of water every couple of days. The fan is almost silent. Not a problem... Read full review »
