Sony's Mic n Micro M-100MC has to rate extremely high in the competitive market of micro cassette recorders. I have had two Olympus hand held recorders in the last three years and both were nowhere near as good as this one.

Pros Great sound quality.
Cons No carrying case to protect it.

I've taken minutes for more than 2,000 (I am not kidding) meetings using all kinds of micro cassette recorders over the last 20 years. If you've been looking for a standard cassette transcriber, good luck! There isn't much to choose from. Thankfully, Panasonic has come to our rescue with its RR-830 model.
